NO NEED TO BOOK – JUST TURN UP. Come along to find out what the Dawlish Warren & Exmouth Beach Management Scheme means for our beaches of the future. You can pop in to either of the following exhibitions at any time between the times shown:-

EXMOUTH : 24th June 2014, 2-8pm

The exhibitions are an opportunity for you to :-

  • Find out the background to the scheme – why it’s needed and what it aims to do
  • See how this winter’s storms affected the beaches and what repairs have been carried out
  • Learn more about the new flood defence planned near the Visitor Centre at Dawlish Warren that will help protect the village
  • See more detail about the proposed works on the beach at Dawlish Warren, such as removal of gabions, replacement of groynes and adding extra sand
  • Understand more about possible works at Exmouth beach
  • View the timetable of proposed works over the next year and beyond
  • Ask any questions you may have about the scheme

At Exmouth there will also be a talk from 7pm by the Exmouth Historical & Archaeological Society about the changing nature of the Exe Estuary coastline, as seen through the eyes of local artists and their legacy of historical paintings.
