Old postcards and photos

These images are interesting communication tools because everyone can relate to them. They allow us to obtain a good qualitative appreciation of the coastline.

Once the postcards had been collected, a photo from the same angle as that of the reference postcard was taken.  For the Val de Saire, the help of SyMEL (Syndicat Mixte espaces Littoraux de la Manche) was extremely useful.

Each photo was taken trying to take into account where the photographer had been and the angle of the view on the postcard. 50 to 100 years later, certain places have changed greatly and the exercise becomes difficult if not impossible. It is still satisfying that qualitative information concerning the mobility of the landscape is visible.
